The Script is an Irish rock band. The current lineup consists of Glen Power (drums, backing vocals, percussion, and bass), Mark Sheehan (backing vocals and lead guitar), and Danny O'Donoghue (rhythm guitar, keyboards, piano, and lead vocals). They debuted their song in 2008. After signing with the Sony Label Group brand Phonogenic, the band relocated to London. In August 2008, they released their self-titled debut album, preceded by the popular songs "The Man Who Can't Be Moved" and "Breakeven." In the UK and Ireland, the album reached number one.

In Ireland and the UK, their subsequent three albums, Science & Faith (2010), #3 (2012), and No Sound Without Silence (2014), all debuted at the top of the album charts, while Science & Faith peaked at number three in the US. "For the First Time," "Nothing," "Hall of Fame," and "Superheroes" are some of the albums' top hits. Freedom Child, the group's fifth studio album, was released on September 1 and included the UK Top 20 single "Rain." Sunsets & Full Moons, their sixth studio album, was released on November 8 and included the song "The Last Time."

Television shows like 90210, Ghost Whisperer, The Hills, Waterloo Road, EastEnders, Made in Chelsea, and The Vampire Diaries have used The Script's music. For seasons 1 and 2, frontman Danny O'Donoghue served as a coach on The Voice UK before quitting to devote more time to the band. The group has been nominated for two Brit Awards and has won three Meteor Ireland Music Awards and two World Music Awards. Over 20 million records by The Script have been sold globally.
